Wushu Kung Fu Today
In 1949, China developed a Wushu game, which was later referred to as modern or contemporary Wushu. Wushu Kung Fu was mainly developed for survival and to kill animals in order to eat and not be eaten by them.
Wushu Kung Fu has many different types mostly differentiated by the region that they come from as different tactics of defense and fighting was developed to survive according to the environmental situation in which they found themselves at that time. All martial arts will more or less involve the need to observe and understand your opponent in order to be able to judge his or her next move before they make it and Wushu Kung Fu is no exception to the rule.

A good martial arts system combines the mind and the body. As well as practical self defense. The movements are combined in sets or forms. These forms are like living dictionaries of all the movements. This is how the old masters would pass down their arts to the next generations. As complex as most martial arts systems are the Chinese kung fu systems can take a life time to master.
